Alexandria, VA — National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) President and CEO Steven C. Anderson, IOM, CAE, declared that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS’) “approval of the increased dispensing fee [in Texas] is a huge victory for patient care in pharmacies” and “vital for patient care.” Anderson thanked state partners like the Texas Federation of Drug Stores, the Texas Pharmacy Association, and the Texas Pharmacy Business Council for “their dedication and commitment in this long fight. “By helping to preserve pharmacy access, the increase in the dispensing fee ultimately can help control costs associated with medication nonadherence,” said Anderson.
