Washington, DC -- Earlier this month, the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) presented Procter & Gamble (P&G) with the 2009 APhA H.A.B. Dunning Award during the association's Annual Meeting and Exposition in San Antonio, Texas. Established in 1983 and named for former APhA leader and pharmaceutical industry executive Henry Armitt Brown Dunning, the award recognizes a pharmaceutical manufacturer for an exemplary contribution to the profession. The APhA's OTC Advisor Certificate Training Program, which teaches pharmacists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants effective patient communication, is one of many APhA programs supported by P&G.
